  • The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photographs. We will only request information, which is required for the specific purpose.

By submitting this data, you give your consent that we collect and process the data to provide you with the information and services that you requested or require from us. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. We may also use this data to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered between you and us. We store your personal data only as long as we need them to provide the information and services to carry out our obligations arising from our contracts. All information will be destroyed 12 months following cessation of contracts.

Information we collect about you.

We will collect the following information:

  • Your name, address, , date of birth, other personal information including family and friends contact details, previous address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photographs. Your care plan and risk assessment. Your personal and medical history including your GP and Clinician details, Medical reports and appointments, and your conduct whilst you remain with us. We will also record daily events and observations we are required to undertake in line with operating our residential care provision. We will only request information, which is required for the specific purpose.

This information is stored exclusively by us on a hard copy in a dedicated file and also on word document stored on our stand alone hard disk. This information will be accessible by management and staff only and used in line with our work. We will also use data to for analysis and training purposes.

Information we receive from other sources.

This is information we receive about you from other services providers in line with your residence here at Walmer Lodge. We work closely with third parties (including, for example, local authorities and NHS professionals as well as public services institutions and banks.

As far as personal data is processed in this regard, we carry out such processing on basis of our legitimate interest to improve our provision for our service users.

We will share your information on a ‘need to know’ basis with other relevant third parties who share our objectives to meet your care and wellbeing requirements in line with Care Quality Commission Standards (CQC).

Security

All personal information you provide to us is stored securely in our locked cupboards. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to relevant parties involved in your care. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access to the best of our abilities.

Transfer to third parties

We only transfer your data to third-parties where you have given your consent to such transfer or if such transfer if legally required.

Retention period & your rights

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement or permitted by applicable law. The data will be destroyed 12 months following the termination of contractual agreements between you and Walmer Lodge

What we do
Walmer Lodge is a registered residential care home providing dedicated service to people with Mental Health and Learning Difficulties, between the ages of 18 and 65 of both genders who require long term residential care. Short term and respite care is also available to those who need it. We will consider residents who may have low nursing care related needs but do not take residents with specialist requirements or general nursing needs.
